In 1985, Mike Houseknecht founded Best Line Equipment in Muncy, Pennsylvania. Despite operating from an old two-bay Texaco gas station, the company quickly made a name for itself as a reliable provider of construction equipment rentals. Best Line's success led to rapid growth, expanding its reach throughout Pennsylvania and acquiring top dealerships like Bobcat, Develon, and JLG.

For the past 40 years, Best Line Equipment has been acquiring dealerships for top equipment brands including Bobcat®, JLG®, Develon Heavy Equipment, and Develon Forklifts. As a result, they have grown to become a dealership for multiple equipment manufacturers with 15 locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. In a constantly evolving market, Best Line Equipment has established itself as a trusted equipment provider and industry expert in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states, offering quality brands, equipment parts, and expert service.

Adam Houseknecht has been the President and owner of Best Line Equipment since 2017. Best Line Equipment has been consistently recognized as one of the "Top 100 Best Places to Work in PA" for three years in a row. The company takes pride in supporting the community through non-profits such as the Endurance Organization, which is dedicated to assisting Pennsylvania's veterans.
