Dec. 19 2017 Bobcat By Best Line Equipment
If you live in the Northeast, you understand the weather can be very unpredictable and bi-polar. We do not just get pounded with snow, we get the whole winter mix. The northeast is known for its heavy snowfalls topped off by an ice storm. After the storm is all said and done you need to find efficient ways to move whatever Mother Nature spit at you. Thats why the experts here at Best Line Equipment recommend BobcatBobcat Skid Steer loaders are rated #1 in the industry. When paired with a genuine Bobcat attachment, each skid-steer model can be a powerful partner on your jobsite. Here are the top 5 winter attachments we think you need to get the job done right.
Snow Blades
Snow blades are ideal for any moderate snow-removal job you may face.  Some blades come in an assortment of different sizes for you to choose from.  The snow blade is great for driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots.  It  can be angled 30 degrees to either side and oscillates 5 degrees to prevent the need for multiple trips to clear snow.
Snow Blowers
Snow blowers are made to move little to mass amounts of snow out of the way.  It will not move it to just one location however, it will blow it a distance away.  So if you need to remove snow off a path or driveway and onto a yard, this is a good option.  You will use the auger to direct the snow where you want it to land.  By blowing the snow, you are able to spread the snow around, so mounds of snow are not created. Also, blowers do a wonderful job throwing the piles further from the edge of where it was before.  The blower is the best way to move snow away from edges of a surface.
Angle Brooms
Was there a dusting of snow last night?  The angle broom is the attachment you are looking for.  The angle broom does just as you would imagine it would do by sweeping the light snowfall off the surface.  If it is less than 6 inches of snowfall the broom is the choice for you.  This is a widely used attachment on larger sidewalks (i.e. college campuses, parks, school grounds, etc.) because of its ability to move the snow very efficiently and brushing it aside off the walkway or path.  There is a wide range of width sizes you can choose from.
Snow Bucket
When the snow gets heavy and tough, a snow bucket is a good option.  A snow bucket is your heavy duty answer to push, pull and dump high volumes of snow. With straight sides you can cut through tough piles of snow creating a clean line.  Unlike the blower, you decide where the snow get put.
Spreader
This attachment is the icing on top for snow removal attachments.  Once you get all the snow or ice up and removed, use the spreader to toss and apply salt or sand!  Whether it is a parking lot, driveway, paths or sidewalks, you need to not just move the snow but be sure it is safe to walk on.  With the spreader, you can treat the area for future refreezing.  Unlike the other skid steer attachments, when snow melts and spring comes around you can still use your spreader to apply seed and fertilizer.
